TYGAR’s origins date back to the early 1990’s, when the owners of one of the world’s largest contractors of concrete edging decided to address demands for better equipment and a higher level of service. In response, TYGAR’s founders began efforts to engineer a superior, more versatile curb machine, along with a set of ancillary equipment that would change the industry. Just as important, the company developed an exhaustive training and support program in order to assist curbers in their early years. The result was the creation of TYGAR™. Today, TYGAR™ is the undisputed leader in the concrete edging industry. Headquartered in Ball Ground, GA, TYGAR™ has developed a comprehensive approach to the concrete edging industry, which includes high-quality, reliable equipment, unsurpassed training and support, and proven business strategies for successful curbing. TYGAR™ focuses on delivering a complete turnkey opportunity to its customers, including heavy duty machinery, a wide range of curb styles and molds, all necessary accessories, and top-notch training, support, and marketing assistance. TYGAR™ does not sell franchises or territories, and there are no on-going fees – we simply provide the most comprehensive program for your own curbing business.

TYGAR Timeline

• 1994 TYGAR’s founders begin what becomes one of the largest curbing or concrete edging companies in the U.S.
• 1999 The founders begin developing plans for an improved, more versatile concrete edging machine.
• 2001 TYGAR™ Manufacturing is started near Atlanta, GA to begin producing curbing equipment .
• 2003 TYGAR’s growth causes the company to move into a larger facility, and many new curbing attachments are introduced. 2005 Additional growth forces another move, into our current 40,000 sq. ft. building, and trailer production is greatly increased.
• 2006 TYGAR’s introduces CurbColors, the first integral color line designed specifically for curbing, along with many great new stamps and rollers.
• 2007 Several new product lines are introduced that enhance the Bengal’s versatility of curb styles.
• 2008 & BEYOND TYGAR™ leads the industry in innovation, customer service, training excellence, and quality – and we are committed to continuing that leadership!
